Joseph VanDePutte

Joseph Paul VanDePutte, 59, of Marshall passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Avera Hospital in Marshall.

Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Paul will take place on Thursday, January 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota.

Visitation will take place one hour prior to Mass at the church.

Burial will take place at the St. Edward Cemetery.

Joseph Paul VanDePutte was born on November 3, 1958 the son of Edward and Mary (DeBaere) VanDePutte of Minneota, Minnesota.

He was baptized at St. Edward Catholic Church and attended grade school in Minneota. Joseph attended secondary school at Canby.

Later in life, Joseph moved to Marshall and lived in a group home and worked for Advanced Opportunities. Joseph liked to collect watches, reading the paper and listening to music.

He could be found watching the Minnesota Vikings on game day.

Joseph was an avid weatherman and he enjoyed visiting with family on special occasions.

He is survived by his siblings Marlene Arens of Woodstock, Thomas (and Connie) VanDePutte of Clarkfield, Robert (and Sandy) VanDePutte of Bremerton, WA, James VanDePutte of Bloomington; sister-in-law Lois VanDePutte of Minneota; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Mary VanDePutte; brother David VanDePutte; nephew William Arens Jr.; niece Carrie Arens; brother-in-law William Arens Sr.
