Emily's ace

As a teacher at Minneota, Sunday was the unofficial last day of summer as school started on Monday, Aug. 22. Emily Citterman, who is in her fourth year teaching seventh-grade math here, capped off that final summer day by notching a hole-in-one with a 5-wood at Countryside Golf Club. Citterman used her grandma's 5-wood to ace the 175-yard, par-3 No. 6 hole. Emily is left-handed, like her grandmother was. When she passed away, Emily inherited her grandmother's 5 and 7 woods. "Two of my favorite woods," Emily noted. She was golfing with her husband, Brock, and their three sons and didn't see the ball go in the hole as she lost sight of it in the shadows. Several other golfers witnessed the ace.
