Girls second to Luverne
The Canby/Minneota Team competed at the Luverne Invitational on Thursday evening.
"It's been a down week for our team as we have been dealing with a few minor injuries and sicknesses. All things we are working through but for some runners that meant not competing tonight or not competing to their full potential. My feeling is better now than later. So tonight was a meet of adversity...'working through tough situations makes you stronger later," said Coach Allyson Pesek.
"Our Girls' Varsity was 2nd to Luverne. Our top five scorers were: Grace Drietz 2nd, McKenzie Ruether 10th, Braelyn Merritt 11th, Faith Traen 12th and Claire Stoks 13th."
"Our Boys' Varsity was 3rd behind Luverne and Pipestone. Our 5 scorers were Blake Stoks 3rd, Sean Dilley 12th, Tristen Bierschenk 13th, Eric Carrasco 15th and Kolton Duis 19th."
"Our Junior High girls did not have a complete team. Our Junior High Boys won and were led by Michael Tol in 2nd place. There were no JV races," added Coach Pesek.
