Josephson, Drietz, Bruns qualify for state track

AJ Josephson of Canby/Minneota qualified for the State Track and Field meet in two events after running a 23.12 to win the boys' 200 dash, and 49.87 to win the 400 dash at the Section 3A meet Thursday in Redwood Falls.

Grace Drietz also qualified for state in two individual events and a relay. She placed first in the girls' 800 run in a time of 2:16.49, and also the 1600 run in a winning time of 5:01.96.

The Canby/Minneota girls' 4 x 400 relay team of RyAnn Hansen, Claire Stoks, Braelyn Merritt and Drietz placed second and qualified in a time of 4:10.17.

Aidyn Bruns qualified for state in the girls' high jump with a 5-2 leap.

The Class A state meet will be held Friday, June 18 at St. Michael-Albertville High School. The boys begin at 10 a.m. and the girls at 3:30 p.m.
