Jr. Vultures rally to win

The Minneota Jr. Legion Vulcans spotted Madison a 5-1 lead in the third inning, rallied to tie it 5-5, rallied again to tie it 6-6 in the seventh, and won it in the eighth, 7-6.
Jacob Hennen’s fourth hit of the game sent Carter Schuelke to third base with one out in the eighth. Ben Skorczewski sent a drive to left field that was dropped by the Madison outfielder and Schuelke scampered home with the winning run.
Skorczewski started, but after walking four batters in the third and allowing three runs, he was relieved by Grady Moorse. The lefty shut the door on Madison, giving up just three more hits and a run while walking five and striking five. He picked up the win.
Meanwhile, Cooper VanOverbeke knocked in the first Vulture run and in the fifth, hits by Schuelke and Skorczewski, sandwiched around a walk, hit batter and Madison error produced three runs.
Hennen doubled in another run in the sixth. Cole Sanow singled and later scored on an error in the seventh and the dramatics came in the eighth.
