Legion State Tournament will be held in Spicer

The following American Legion teams won their sub-district tournaments:

​•Northeast - New London-Spicer

•Northwest - Glenwood/Lowry

•Southeast - BOLD

•Southwest - Minneota

The pairings include: New London-Spicer vs. Glenwood/Lowry in a best of three series this week.

•BOLD vs. Minneota in a best of three series this week. They were at Bird Island on Tuesday and play at home on Thursday (possibly two games). Winners will advance to play each other in best of three series.

New London-Spicer automatically is in the state tournament as host. The state will be played July 28-30 at the Green Lake Diamond in Spicer. The tournament starts at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 28 and ends with the championship at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. It is a double elimination tournament.

Paynesville is the site of the second field.
