Minneota boys second to Canby

The Minneota boys’ golf team finished second to Canby in the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton meet on Tuesday in Tyler.

Mitchell Rost shot a 42 for Minneota and finished in third; three shots off the co-medalists in the Vikings' season opener.

Nolan Boerboom shot a 44, Joey Rybinski a 52, and Cole Myhre and Braxton Downing each shot a 54 for Minneota.

Minneota finished with a 192, while Canby won the meet with a 180.

Other teams competing were RTR, Lakeview, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton and Yellow Medicine East.
