Poor shooting costs Minneota against MACCRAY
Minneota couldn't overcome a dismal shooting night at home and fell to MACCRAY 79-49 in a Camden Conference game on Friday.
The Vikings fell behind the Wolverines 46-33 at halftime and never recovered as they made only 19 of 71 shot (27 percent) from the field, including 4 of 20 from beyond the arc.
Logan Sussner paced Minneota with 19 points, 17 rebounds and two blocked shots. Nolan Boerboom added 11 points, four rebounds and two steals. Boerboom had two of the Vikings' four 3-pointers.
Jacob Citterman netted eight points and Joseph Rybinski hit 3 of 4 shots for seven points. Alex Saltzer missed the game for Minneota with a broken ear drum.
MACCRAY, which shot 48 percent from the field, was led by Blake Wadsworth with 27 points, Trent Cavaness with 21 and Brady Kienitz with 19.
