Thump Lakeview

Rains Monday delayed the Viking game at Lakeview, but couldn’t stop Minneota from raining on the Lakers, 11-1 in five innings on Tuesday.

The Vikings scored six runs in the first inning, then coasted behind the pitching of Jacob Hennen and Alex Pohlen, who allowed just six hits.

Minneota unloaded the artillery with 11 hits, four of them doubles.

The two-baggers came from Brant Buysse, Teddy Pesch, Alex Pohlen and Landon Abraham.

The four had two hits each for the Vikings.

But the big blow was a two-run home run by Cole Sanow in the first inning. He had a good week with a pair of doubles against RTR and the long home run against Lakeview.
