Undersized Vikings fall to Southwest MN Christian

Despite a huge height disadvantage, Minneota played a solid game until going cold late in the game and succumbed to Southwest Minnesota Christian 80-62 Monday night in Minneota.
The Eagles (15-3) were led by 6-7 senior post Jarrett Kuipers, who dominated inside with 41 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots. All 14 of Kuipers' field goals came within three feet of the basket, including a dunk midway through the second half. He also cashed 11 of 13 free throws.
Four of the Eagles' starters stood 6-2 or more. Dawson Reick, a 6-4 senior, finished with 13 points. Jacob Uilk had 11 points. Bennett Tolsma, who comes off the bench, is a 6-9 senior who chipped in six points.
Max Rost led the Vikings (5-10) with 19 points to along with five rebounds and four assists, while Ryan Dalager had 15 points, six rebounds and six assists; Peyton Sheik had 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists; and Anthony Rybinski added six points, seven rebounds and three assists.

Ryan King had a triple-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, William Penkert also had 18 points and Jack Gross added 16 as the Warriors (10-5) won their eighth straight game after starting out the season 2-5.
The Vikings (5-9) shot just 31 percent from the field. BOLD scorched the nets by shooting 58 percent from the field.
Ryan Dalager drained four treys and finished with a team-high 14 points to go along with four rebounds and four assists for Minneota. Max Rost chipped in 13 points and seven assists, and Peyton Sheik finished with 12 points and eight rebounds. Anthony Rybinski added six points, and Sawyer DeSmet five points and eight rebound.
Dalager's floater in the lane gave the Vikings a 2-0 advantage, their only lead of the game as the Warriors then went on a 12-2 run.
Minneota, which trailed 47-24 at halftime, outscored BOLD 28-24 in the second half and played much better defensively.

MACCRAY connected on 7 of 13 three-pointers, including six by Matt Wadsworth, and rolled past Minneota 71-40 on Thursday in Clara City.
Wadsworth finished with a game-high 20 points and five assists for the Wolverines (9-7). Nate Wieberdink notched a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
MACCRAY attempted 28 free throws in the game, making 18, while the Vikings (5-8) were only 2 of 6 from the charity stripe.
Tied 10-10, the Wolverines took the lead for good with a 9-0 to make it 19-10. Ater the Vikings cut the deficit to 19-13, MACCRAY went on a 12-0 run and went into the locker room at halftime with a 42-20 lead.
