Viking girls roll into 3A title game

Natalee Rolbiecki poured in 24 points and Kennedi Jurrens added 11 as top-seeded Minneota captured the Section 3A-North crown Friday night with a 58-37 triumph over MACCRAY at Southwest Minnesota State University.

The Vikings (25-4) now face Tracy-Milroy-Balaton. the 3A-South champion, for the Section 3A championship next Friday at 5 p.m. at SMSU. TMB defeated Southwest Christian 52-36 in the 3A-South title game Friday night.

Minneota and TMB have split its two previous meetings this season.

Rolbiecki made 9 of 12 shots against MACCRAY, while also cashing 6 of 10 free throws. She now has 1,591 career points, which is sixth all-time for the Minneota girls basketball program.

McKenzie Tolk had another strong all-around game as evidenced by seven steals, seven assists and six rebounds to go along with her five points.

Jurrens has come on strong as the season winds down. She was averaging three points per game over the team's first 26 games, but is averaging 10 ppg in the last three contests.
