Vikings extend win streak to four

Minneota swept its second straight Camden Conference doubleheader to improve to 6-2.
The Vikings defeated MACCRAY in the opener 11-5 and then capped the sweep on their home field with a 10-8 victory in the second game.
Summer Hennen rapped four of the Vikings; 21 hits in the two games, while Faith Myhre, Madison Hennen and Dakota Pesch had three hits apiece.
Ava Larson picked up the complete-game win in the first game and Madison went the distance for the win in the nightcap.

GAME ONE
Pesch went 3-for-3 with a double and drove in two runs for the Vikings. Kiersyn Hulzebos was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Lexi Sanow drove in a pair of runs with a triple.
Larson scattered seven hits and five walks in earning the victory.
The Vikings scored in all four innings they batted in the five-inning game, while collecting nine hits and seven walks.

GAME TWO
Six of the Vikings' 12 hits went for extra bases, including a double and triple by AshleeAnn Cole.
Summer Hennen finished 3-for-4, including two doubles, and knocked in two runs. Myhre was 2-for-3, including a triple, and drove in two runs. Madison Hennen had two hits and an RBI.
Madison Hennen allowed 13 hits to the Wolverines but was backed by a five-run fifth and a three-run sixth inning as the Vikings rallied from a 3-2 deficit. Hennen did not walk a batter and struck out six.

The Viking (5-3) split a twinbill with Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, winning the opener 8-7 and losing the finale 10-8.
Minneota/Canby collected 21 hits in the doubleheaders. Lexi Sanow led the way with five hits while driving in two runs. AshleeAnn Cole, Faith Myhre and Madison Hennen had three hits each in the two games.
Ava Larson earned the win in the opener, while Madison Hennen absorbed the loss in the second game.

GAME ONE
Trailing 3-0, the Vikings plated three runs in the home half of the third inning to tie the game and then added four tallies in the fourth for a 7-3 advantage. During the four-run fourth, Sanow doubled home one run, Larson singled in a run, and Dakota Pesch and Tessah Overgaard each walked with the bases loaded to force in runs.
TMB rallied back with a pair of runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh, but Larson escaped several jams to earn the win. She scattered eight hits and three walks, while striking out six.
The Vikings amassed nine hits and were issued 11 walks.
Sanow was 2-for-3, including a double, and scored twice. Madison Hennen also had two hits and drove in a run. Larson drove in two runs.

GAME TWO
Despite collecting 12 hits, being issued eight walks and stealing 18 bases, the Vikings succumbed to the Panthers in the second game.
Sanow went 3-for-4 and knocked in a run, while Cole, Myhre, Summer Hennen and Tylee Groenhoff rapped two hits apiece.
Down 6-3, the Vikings plated three runs in the fourth inning to tie the game. But TMB came back with two runs in the bottom of the fourth and never trailed after that.
Madison Hennen went the distance for the Vikings, allowing seven hits and four walks, while striking out six.
