Vikings ousted by CMCS
Top-seeded Central Minnesota Christian School eliminated No. 8 Minneota from the Section 3A-North boys basketball tournament on Saturday morning with a convincing 70-36 victory.
The start time of the game was moved up an hour to 10 a.m. due to the potential freezing rain that was forecasted.
Case Mulder and Ben VanEps scored 21 points apiece for the Bluejays, who will play in the 3A-North semifinals on Thursday, March 10 against either Wabasso or Lac qui Parle Valley, Ethan Bulthuis added 15 points for CMCS.
Cale Sorensen, the lone Minneota senior playing in his final game, paced the Vikings with 14 points. Max Rost had eight points and Sawyer DeSmet six.
