Thomas Hennen stiff-armed a Springfield opponent.

Vikings swamp Springfield, 64-7

It's hard to believe, but Springfield actually led in this one, 7-6.

Minneota then went on to score 58 unanswered points to chalk up a 64-7 win over the Tigers and roll to 6-0 on the year.

After Minneota's Cole Sanow scored on a seven-yard run, Springfield answered with a trick play on a 40-yard pass from Isaac Fink to Jordan Kieper.

That didn't seem to do anything but fire up Minneota.

Sanow went on to scored on a 26-yard pass, a one-yard run and ran for 141 yards.

Isaac Hennen had 167 yards on the ground and 43 more on passes as Minneota romped to 587 total yards to 151 for Springfield.

Quarterback Alex Pohlen passed for 140 yards, completing 10 of 15 passes.

Landon Abraham also had three receptions for 43 yards and Brant Buysse two.

The Vikings led 46-7 at the half and extended their lead in the second half.

Skylar Gilbertson scored on a touchdown pass of 14 yards and Buysse from 10 yards out. Pohlen would throw three touhdown passes.

Isaac Hennen scored on a pair of long runs of 90 and 48 yards plus an 11-yard run and Landon Rolbiecki and Tanner Sterzinger each added a touchdown.

The defense was led by Shawn Buysse, Blake Reiss and Jacob Hennen with six tackles each.

Isaac Hennen had one pass interception.
