A week earlier, Jared Josephson performed a nearly "sub-human" feat when he took the baton in the 4x400-meter sub-sections, passed the field and got his team into the sections.
The Canby-Minneota girls won their second meet of the early season, finishing ahead of nine other teams in the Yellow Medicine East Invitational on Thursday in Granite Falls.

Most Valuable Athlete: Isaac Hennen & Grace Drietz
Ten members of the Canby-Minneota track team have been named to the Academic All-State team.
Canby-Minneota’s track team had three relay teams and three individuals advance from the Section 3A Tournament Thursday at Montevideo.
The Canby-Minneota girls track team finished in fifth place at the True Team State Tournament in Stillwater on Saturday.
Isaac Hennen is still in search of 21-foot long jump he had last year to qualify for the state tournament.
