St. Edward School Happenings
The Kindergarten learned about God giving each of us talents and sharing them with others. They also talked about what loving actions we can do with others to share our love with Jesus. Some of the kindergarten students dressed as saints. Debbie Beisler is dressed as St. Mary, Brisbyn Traen is dressed as St. Kateri, Addyson Pohlen is dressed as St. Mary, Audyn Traen is dressed as St. Maximilian Kolbe, and Emmalee Jones is dressed as St. Maria Goretti.
St. Edward School held their annual Saints Costume Contest. Students were asked to research a Saint, dress as that Saint and prepare a short explanation of that Saint. They were judged on originality, in dress and use of props as well as knowledge of their Saint. Overall winner in grades K-4 was Elizabeth Garvey and grades 5-8 was Kate Hennen. Following the contest, the entire school prayed the Litany of Saints.

In 5th grade Reading - we are continuing our work on sentences and the different types of sentences. In 5th grade Religion - we are celebrating National Vocations Week, where we learn about God’s plan for us and the different ways we can serve Him. In 3rd/4th grade Social Studies - we are creating scavenger hunts. We first made a scavenger hunt for the playground, then moved onto a scavenger hunt across the town of Minneota, next across the State of Minnesota, then across the United States, and we’ll finish with a scavenger hunt around the world!
