Chad Johnston of Class A state champion Minneota was named the North Division Football Coach of the Year in the South District/West Sub-District.
With 16 returning letterwinners back, Minneota coaches are optimistic that another solid season is on the horizon.
Minneota is coming off a perfect 17-0 mark in the Camden Conference and was 27-4 overall and reached the Section 3A final, but the Vikings return just one starter from that team.
