My favorite event of the year is near. “The Great Minnesota Get Together” begins this Thursday! The Minnesota State Fair is one of my all-time favorite places to be.

School is quickly approaching, and before you know it kids will be walking to school, riding their bikes to school and waiting for buses to take them to school.
The Lyon County Senior Citizens of the Year are Nancy and Ray Pederson of Cottonwood. These two are a remarkable couple that has really gotten involved.
Not attired in the latest fashions but rather in what was becoming for the last day of camp and the skits they were presenting.
It was a busy and extremely HOT weekend, but another successful Lyon County Fair is in the books.

Personal accountability has always been an issue in our society, however it seems to be at an all-time low. It starts as children when we blame our siblings for us getting in trouble.
