With fall sports soon getting underway, it triggered a memory of something I had read in one of the back issues of the Mascot while I was searching for a different piece of history.
It has been a great summer at the Library. Kudos to all families and individuals that have been coming to the library, getting books to read, and attending the story hours.

The majority of the elderly people I have spoken with recently said this is one of the driest periods they can ever remember.
Time to start thinking about back to school and what that means for traffic safety. One of the most dangerous things a student does is walk or ride a bike to and from school.
There seems to be a great deal of confusion regarding the role of police officers in today’s society.

As part of the Lyon County Fair, Vintage Baseball will be played on Saturday, Aug. 14 at 1:30 p.m. at the Bud Rose Grass Area by entrance to the fairgrounds.
