BRING ON THE QUILTS!

SPMH sponsoring quilt show at Opera Hall on October 26

Calling all quilters! The Society for the Preservation of Minneota’s Heritage (SPMH) is sponsoring a Quilt Show and are looking for individuals or groups who might quilt with interesting stories behind them.
The Quilt Show will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26 in the historic Opera Hall. The public is invited to come out and view all of the quilts, even if they don’t have one to show. The event is free of charge.
Refreshments will follow the program.
“We would like to hear some stories about the quilts that are brought in,” said Judy Hagen. “We would like to know the history of the quilt, who made it, who quilted it, and why it is special to you.”
Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. Quilts should be brought in a bag.
The quilts being presented are not for sale.
Several talented quilters in and around the Minneota area are known for their historical quilts and the stories of each will be of interest to those in attendance.
The quilts will be on display on the stage in the Opera Hall while the story of each one will be told.
