Harvest season is in full swing as evidenced by this farmer harvesting his corn northeast of Minneota last week. Some area farmers are donating a portion of their harvest to the Lincoln Lessman Agricultural Memorial Scholarship through Minneota Dollars for Scholars from now until the end of the harvest season. Donations are being taken at the elevators in Minneota and Taunton. Those donating should indicate that it is for the Minneota Dollars for Scholars Agriculture Scholarship. For farmers who store their own crops, they can still donate as volunteer agriculture students will be making a one-day pickup from approximately 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3. To setup times or for questions, call Matt Buysse at 507-530-0213.
