Haugen's work on display

This statue of William and Virginia Clemens sits in the Clemens Garden on the east side of St. Cloud and was sculpted by Minneota native Don Haugen and his wife Teena in 2010. The Clemens family commissioned Haugen to sculpt the statue so it could adorn the seven acres of flowers that draw visitors from all over. "We enjoyed creating this sculpture," said Don, who now lives in Georgia. "The Clemens family was terrific to work with." The Gardens, which are free to the public to visit, include the Virginia Clemens Rose Garden, the Rest Area Garden, the Formal Garden, the White Garden, the Perennial Garden, and the Treillage Garden. All are enhanced with decorative ironwork and fountains.
