Holiday lighting contest registration deadline Dec. 11

The deadline for registering for the 4th annual "Battle of the Bulbs" Holiday Lighting Contest is Monday, Dec. 11 by the end of the business day.
Remember, by registering you automatically qualify for a drawing for free turkeys or hams, no matter how large your light display is. The lighting contest is designed to light up as many houses in Minneota, Ghent and Taunton as possible to show your holiday spirit.
Drop off your registration at the Mascot office during business hours, in our black box outside our front door during non-business hours, or email scott@thomabooks.com. Include your name, address, phone number and email address in order for us to notify the winners.
Over $1,000 in prizes will be awarded to the top place-winners as determined by judges. First place will receive $500 worth of prizes, second place receives $250 in prizes and third place gets $100 worth of prizes.
Judging will be held on Friday, Dec. 15 and Saturday, Dec. 16. Light displays should be turned on those two days by 5 p.m.
The prizes come from the generous donations of area business and individuals in Minneota, Ghent, Taunton and Marshall. Cash donations are used to purchase prizes.
