Minneota Library ‘books’ Santa Claus for Dec. 17
Here comes Santa Claus! Come to the library this Saturday, Dec. 17, and visit with Santa. Story hour will begin at 10:30 a.m. while we wait for Santa to make an entrance. Join us!
Our Winter Reading Program starts with the New Year. During January and February, adults and teens (age 16+) are encouraged to read as much as possible … and what better thing to do on these wintry days than snuggle up with a good book? Our theme this year is “Get Wrapped In Reading” and it is all about warmth and comfort. Our incentive prizes include the mug with the WRP logo, warm socks and blankets, and delicious chocolate bars.
The rules for the 2023 Winter Reading Program are as follows: (1) WRP runs from Jan. 3 through Feb. 28. (2) Sign up for Winter Reading Program in the Library and get a reading log. (3) For every book read, "X" out a snow flake on the reading log. (4) After reading eight books, bring in the log with your name on it, and choose one of our “comfort” prizes. Also, your name will go into our drawing for a grand prize (gift certificate from City Hall). Everyone who reads at least eight books is eligible. (5) Not limited to eight books — keep reading and be eligible for additional comfort prizes. Your reading sources may be a book from our library or a book from your own collection; an ebook or an audio book.
