MINNEOTA PUBIC LIBRARY MAY NEWS

The Plum Creek Library System has added Storytime Kits for people to check out and use at home with their children. Classroom teachers and daycare centers may find these story kits a real plus for their curriculum.
Each library in the Plum Creek System has a few kits on hand for individuals to check out. If you are looking for a specific theme, go to the webpage, minneotalibrary.org and do a search for STORYTIME KITS. A list of all available kits will be displayed. There are many to choose from, and if you find something that interests you, put that item on hold. The library that has that kit will send it (via the Plum Creek delivery truck) to the Minneota library and you can pick it up here.
Need information on how to put something on hold? Stop by the library and we will show you how you can do it from home, or we can do it here.
Minneota Library is again participating in the “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten” program, sponsored by United Way. Parents can sign their young children up and receive a book bag and chart for logging books. After every 100 books, receive a prize and a new reading log.
Our Summer Reading Program starts soon. Sign up in the library starting June 1 and set your reading goals for the summer.
