Rost nominated for Jamy Bechler Student Athlete of Year award

Max Rost of Ivanhoe, who will be a senior this fall at Minneota High School, is one of the nominees for TheLeadershipPlaybook.com 2022-2023 Student-Athlete of the Year award.
Students are nominated for the award from across the country.
Activities Director Patty Myrvik received an email from the Jamy Bechler leadership group searching for outstanding student-athletes.
"Max was an obvious choice," said Myrvik. "The Bechler Leadership Academy selected Max as one of their recipients. This is a very cool honor for him to be recognized."
The award honors those individuals exemplifying sportsmanship, positive leadership, or good teamwork. TheLeadershipPlaybook.com helps athletic departments and sports teams build stronger cultures by developing better teammates and more positive leaders.
The program was developed by Jamy Bechler, a former college basketball coach and high school athletic director. Bechler is now a professional speaker, leadership consultant, and host of the “Success is a Choice” podcast.
“We’re thrilled to recognize Maxwell as a good example of what a student-athlete should be,” said Bechler. “Great teams have great teammates and though no leader is perfect, it’s awesome to be able to recognize student-athletes trying to have a positive influence on their teammates and friends."
All nominees will receive an award certificate.
