The Annual Prairie Home Hospice and Community Care’s Charity Event and Auction has been a premier charity event in Lyon County for over 30 years.

This year’s 33rd annual event will take place on April 6 at the Red Baron Arena and Expo and will be again be sponsored by Lockwood Motors.

This year’s theme is “Life’s a Journey”. “Our committee is going to work with the staff at Red Baron Arena and Expo to create a journey from one side of the globe to the other,” said Tara Plante, Marketing and Development Director for Prairie Home Hospice.

“Two years ago was our first year at the Red Baron Arena & Expo. The larger venue allowed us to nearly double our attendance and ticket sales and gave us much more room to display the hundreds of gift certificates, silent and live auction items we have up for grabs. We’re happy to be back at the Red Baron again this year.”

The night will begin with the social hour from 5-7 p.m., as guests browse the hundreds of auction items on display. The Hitching Post will serve dinner.

Tickets for the Annual Hospice Charity Event are available at HyVee, Lockwood Motors, and the Prairie Home Hospice and Community Care office.
