October Elementary Viking Valor

Preschool’s winner Arya Sonnenburg has shown Viking valor in many different ways!   She cleans up when it is time to clean up, walks quietly in the hallway, comes to the carpet prepared to learn, and is a terrific friend!   She always has a smile on her face and is helping out her friends and teachers!  Way to go Arya!

The Kindergarten Valor winner is Ronin Runia, a kind and compassionate student. He's frequently found helping classmates if they have questions. He can be seen showing pride in keeping our classroom space neat and tidy. Ronin also is a wonderful listener during instructional time in the classroom. He shows eagerness to learn and try new things. Thank you Ronin Runia. for being a great example of Viking Valor!

The first grade teachers picked Blake Citterman. He's worked hard this year to show Viking Valor each day. Blake always has a grin on his face and greets his teacher each morning with a big hello! He's ready to go each day with a positive attitude and is always happy about being in school. He also works hard to respect others by listening to and being kind to his classmates. He shows honor by keeping his classroom and the hallways clean and getting his work done and he meets high expectations by always bringing his homework back each week and working hard in the classroom. Keep up the great work, Blake.

The second grader is Jasmine Engler. She starts the school day with a smile. Sharing at recess and including classmates in activities, using great manners at lunch, and being prepared for class are some of the Viking Valor qualities Jasmine possesses. "Her stick with it" attitude came in handy by meeting her AR goal. Congratulations Jasmine.

The third grade student of the month is Mason Moorse. He is always showing respect in the classroom to his classmate and teacher by waiting quietly at the carpet for the lesson to start and continue to work quietly at his seat as not to distract his peers. This respect is also always done with a smile on his face! Mason shows honor in the classroom by asking what he can do to help around the room and making sure that his area is picked up. He always shows honor in the lunchroom by cleaning up the area around him sometimes even cleaning up some crumbs a neighbor left behind. Mason is always demonstrating high expectations by trying to go above and beyond on his IXL’s and fixing mistakes to understand problems better. Thank you for doing all this with a smile on your face! Congratulations, Mason!

The fourth grader is Ava Panka and she shows great enthusiasm the minute she walks in the door. She is ready to go for the day by having her work done, being organized, and having a smile on her face. ava is very helpful toher peers and also to the teachers.  Sje also works very hard in class, doesn’t rush through her work, and asks questions when needed. Keep up the awesome work Ava.

The Fifth Grade would like to recognize Gabriel Ludwikowski who is an absolute delight to be around. He has a love of life that is contagious! On top of that, Gabriel is on the ball with everything school related. From in-class behavior to homework completion, he gets the job done and DONE WELL. Everyone enjoys how he is very passionate about his interests and is willing to share these passions.  He is also a student who sees the needs of people around him (students and staff) and will help out, no questions asked.

The Sixth Grade Valor winner is Tiffany Gronke. She's a student who has gone above and beyond since Mrs. Pies has been gone.  She is always making sure the room is picked up/cleaned up and taking on extra responsibilities to help out! And, she's been taking time a few days a week to work with a young reader. She is always on task and completing her work/assignments on time. It's a pleasure having her in class.  She is the BEST sister, friend and classmate.  Congratulations Tiffany!
