NOTICE OF FINAL HEARING

Please Take Notice: The Joint Drainage Authority Board of Commissioners of Yellow Medicine and Lyon Counties, Minnesota, Drainage Authority for the redetermination of benefits of Yellow Medicine/Lyon Judicial Ditch (JD) 14 will hold a final hearing on the Viewers’ Report of Benefits for the pending redetermination of benefits for JD 14. The Viewers’ Report was filed with the Drainage Authority on March 20, 2024. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 1:30 p.m., or thereafter as the agenda allows, in the County Board Room in the Yellow Medicine County Government Center, 180 8th Avenue, Granite Falls, MN.
At the final hearing, the drainage authority will accept public comment regarding the viewers’ reports. Any party having an interest in the proceedings may appear and provide a comment. Written comments will be accepted through close of business on Monday, May 13, by email (Christopher.Balfany@co.ym.mn.gov) or by U.S. mail to YMC Ditch Office, PO Box 675, Clarkfield MN 56223.
Yellow Medicine/Lyon Judicial Ditch 14 is a tile system that flows easterly, and its terminus is into the Yellow Medicine River in Section 1 of Westerheim Township.
The following properties are affected by the redetermination of benefits for JD 14: Swede Prairie Township, T114N-R42W, Sections 33, 34, 35, 36; in Yellow Medicine County; and Westerheim Township T113N-R42W, Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10 in Lyon County.
