VETERANS COFFEE DEC. 3
The next monthly Veterans Coffee at the Lyon County Museum is at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 1:30 pm. The monthly coffee is open to all veterans. Enjoy coffee, water, juice, and treats while visiting with fellow veterans in the ice cream shop at the museum.
CHRISTMAS TREE WALK OPENS NOV. 23
The 12th Annual Indoor Christmas Tree Walk opens at the Lyon County Museum on Saturday, Nov. 23. The trees and museum will stay decorated through Dec. 31. View decorated trees by area families, businesses, non-profit organizations, and service organizations.
To vote for your favorite(s), place money in a box located by each tree. The top three organizations/businesses with the most money in their boxes will win the 2024 Tree Walk. There will be an online option to vote on the museum's website. All proceeds from the boxes will go to benefit the Lyon County Historical Society’s mission of preserving and presenting Lyon County history. First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded to the top three trees. First prize is $150 in Marshall Chamber Dollars, second prize is $100 in Marshall Chamber Dollars, and third prize is $50 in Marshall Chamber Dollars.
MUSEUM HOURS DURING HOLIDAYS
The Lyon County Museum will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 27 and Thursday, Nov. 28 for Thanksgiving, as well as Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25 for Christmas.
The museum hours for Nov. 23-Dec. 31 are Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Closed on Sundays.
The museum is open on Black Friday, Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Small Business Saturday Nov. 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy complimentary treats and beverages on both days along with 30% off regular priced merchandise in the museum’s gift shop.
HOLIDAY HOME TOUR SET FOR DEC. 8
The Holiday Home Tour is a fundraiser for the Lyon County Historical Society Museum and is held from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8. Tickets are $20 each and are only available at the Lyon County Museum. The ticket book includes a description of each home along with a map. The Lyon County Museum will be open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the day of the tour for cookies and refreshments. The museum is decked out for the holidays. Check out the annual Christmas Tree Walk and Heritage Room holiday exhibit.

MUSEUM'S HOLIDAY FUN DAY DEC. 14
Holiday Fun Day at the Lyon County Museum is from 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14. Join us for holiday treats, beverages, music, and craft activities. Special guests, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the museum from 1-2 p.m. that day. This is a free event. There will be specials on Gift Shop merchandise that day for your holiday shopping needs.
