Minneota Library hosting several activities for Santa’s Worksop Dec. 13

In collaboration with Santa's Workshop on Saturday, Dec. 13, the Minneota Public Library will have several activities for children that day.
There will be children's coloring activities from 9-10:30 a.m., followed by a visit with Santa Claus at 10:30 a.m. All kids in attendance will receive a gift bag. Parents are welcome to take photos of their children with Santa by the fireplace.
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. is the Friends of the Library silent auction fundraiser. Items that you have earned with the highest bid can be picked up at 1:30 p.m.
Also, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. is the Society for the Preservation of Minneota's Heritage (SPMH) bake sale. There will be baked goods of all kinds for sale.
Dec. 13 will be a busy day in Minneota. The Santa's Workshop vendor exhibits will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion and VFW buildings on N. Jefferson St.
The Minneota Senior Center will be holding a Soup and Sandwich lunch with desserts and beverages from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Mascot will be hosting three children's authors with local ties signing copies of their recently published books. Gail Boe, Ronni Vlaminck and Valeri Scheps will be selling and signing copies of their books from 12-2 p.m. There will also be refreshments served.
The Mascot is also offering two months free (eight issues) with a one-year paid subscription for new subscribers.
Bring your Lolo (Local Supporting Locals) punch cards that are available at many local businesses to be signed for a chance to win a prize. Particpating businesses include: B Lenore, Brad's Market, BS Spices, City Hall Bar & Grill, Gislason's Ace Hardware, Highway 68 Liquor, Gena and Penny Hair, J's Dream, KB's Bar & Grill (Ghent), Minneota Building Materials, Minneota Mascot, One More Time Thrift Store, Sweet Tooth Bakery, This and That Recreated and 2 Arrows Apparel (Ghent).
