This photo circa 1930 is of the former Minneota Public School building. The school was constructed in 1893 and had four rooms. After several defeats, the school was organized as an independent school district by a vote of 168-120 on May 1, 1900. That same year, another four-room addition was built. The first high school classes started in 1900 in that building with 32 high school students among the 139 pupils enrolled.
