Stan Miller, Biology and Life Science teacher at Minneota Public School, was presented with a taxidermized great horned owl from the Southwest Sportsmen Club for display in his class. The owl was shot by Francis DeSmet of rural Minneota with permission from the area conservation officer because the owl was a menace to his chicks and chickens.
