MINNEOTA PUBLIC LIBRARY
Hey, Kids! Get your reading logs turned in soon. We had 68 youths sign up for this summer’s reading program and they were encouraged to read 15 minutes a day.
Keeping track of time spent reading adds up fast. Bring in your reading logs and add on the minutes read. At the end of July, our Summer Reading Program “Bee A Reader” will finish with a drawing and a party, serving cake and ice cream on July 31.
We can also look forward to Storyteller Sue Morton, as she will entertain us at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24. This program is for all ages.
On Aug. 9, we welcome “The Poetry Bus”, a group of four Minnesota poets — Sara Dovre-Wudali (originally from Minneota), Athena Kildegaard, Sue Love, and Michael Kleber-Diggs — will make Minneota their first stop on their “Poetry on the Move” tour. Refreshments following.
The library will also sponsor Dana Yost, former Minneotan now living in Sioux Falls, as he reads from his newly published book on the last weekend in September. More details to follow.
