MINNEOTA PUBLIC LIBRARY NEWS

Our Reading Challenge is nearing the end. Those of you playing our “Reading Bingo” can bring in your Bingo Card and be entered in the drawing for prizes. Deadline to turn in your card is 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
I put out a Halloween jigsaw puzzle on the big table in the library at the beginning of October. It’s a 1,000-piece puzzle and extremely difficult. Many people have added a piece or two (even our delivery truck driver from Worthington), but I want to recognize Francis Rabaey and Cory Josephson for all the hours they have put in on the puzzle. It’s looking great! When it’s completed, I’ll put out a Christmas puzzle.
Anyone who wishes to work on a “communal puzzle” can visit the library and contribute. We also have more than 50 jigsaw puzzles that can be checked out and taken home.
We just found out that Santa will be in town and visit the library on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 10:30 a.m. Each child who visits will gather for a story, then welcome Santa and receive a bag of goodies. Parents are welcome to take pictures of their children on Santa’s lap or standing next to Santa. All are welcome!
