Safety first

With the current Highway 68 detour from Marshall to Minneota bringing a much greater amount of traffic past the Minneota Public School, administrators and staff are concerned for the students' safety and are installing crossing guards until the detour is completed. Administrators volunteered their services to be this week's crossing guards. Elementary Principal Jen Mahan-Deitte holds up traffic as a student and his father cross the street. Superintendent Scott Monson stands guard at a crosswalk while a student and his grandmother cross. High School Principal Heather Anderson maintains her position on one of the crossing points.
