Lucky Ducks

After being dumped into the river, hundreds of ducks meandered their way down to the finish line Thursday night at Countryside Golf Club where the 2022 Boxelder Bug Days royalty plunked them from the water. The top prize of $200 went to Jen Johnson. The 17th annual Duck Races, used as a fundraiser for Boxelder Bug Days, gave out nine cash prizes in total. Robin Boe Traen's second-place duck was worth $100, Nathan Pohlen was third for $50, and $25 prizes each went to Jen Neyens, Dawn Downing, Kelly Hennen, John DeSmet, Roberta Josephson and Jeff Van Keulen.
