Mudhens drub Benson
Danny Hennen hit a solo home run and hurled a complete game as the Minneota Mudhens defeated the Benson Plowboys in a Land O' Ducks League game Sunday in Benson.
Trailing 1-0, the Mudhens tied the game when Hennen homered with two outs in the top of the fifth inning.
The Mudhens then added four more runs in the seventh inning on a run-scoring single by Austin Buysse, a two-run double by AJ Myhre with two outs, and a run-scoring single by Ben Skorczewski.
Minneota capped the scoring with a pair of runs in the eighth on RBI singles by Hennen and Myhre.
Hennen scattered eight hits over the nine innings. He did not walk a batter and struck out three in earning the win.

Mudhens sink Dawson
Alex Pohlen continued his hot hitting, going 4-for-4 and AJ Myhre drove in three runs as the Mudhens topped Dawson 9-2 on Wednesday, July 5 at K.P. Kompelien Field.
Pohlen has gone 12-for-13 with four walks and four RBI in his last three games.
Jacob Hennen started on the mound for Minneota and hurled 6 2/3 innings for the win. The right-hander allowed six hits and two runs, while walking two and striking out four.
Ryan Dalager relieved with two runners aboard and two outs in the seventh and struck out the next hitter. He struck out five batters over his 2 1/3 hitless innings of relief.
Myhre went 3-for-5 with run-scoring singles in the first, fifth and eighth innings. Peyton Gillund, Tyson Sonnenburg and Ben Skorczewski had two hits apiece.
The Mudhens plated two runs in the first inning on RBI singles from Pohlen and Myhre for a 2-0 lead.
They increased the lead to 6-0 with a four-run fifth inning highlighted by run-scoring hits from Myhre and Skorczewski and a two-run triple from Tate Walerius.
Dawson scored its two runs in the sixth inning to cut the deficit to 6-2.
Danny Hennen and Myhre produced run-scoring singles in the eighth inning for the Mudhens.
