JOINT DRAINAGE AUTHORITY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF LYON AND YELLOW MEDICINE COUNTIES, MINNESOTA: DRAINAGE AUTHORITY FOR THE REDETERMINATION OF BENEFITS AND DAMAGES FOR JUDICIAL DITCH 24 LYM
NOTICE OF FINAL HEARING
Please Take Notice: The Joint Drainage Authority Board of Commissioners of Lyon and Yellow Medicine Counties, Minnesota, Drainage Authority for the redetermination of benefits and damages of Lyon/Yellow Medicine Judicial Ditch (JD) 24 LYM will hold a final hearing on the Viewers’ Report of Benefits and Damages for the pending redetermination of benefits and damages for JD 24 LYM. The Viewers’ Report was filed with the Drainage Authority on March 20, 2024. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 14 at 1:30 p.m., or thereafter as the agenda allows, in the County Board Room in the Yellow Medicine County Government Center, 180 8th Avenue, Granite Falls, MN.
At the final hearing, the drainage authority will accept public comment regarding the viewers’ reports. Any party having an interest in the proceedings may appear and provide a comment. Written comments will be accepted through close of business on Monday, May 13 by email (Christopher.Balfany@co.ym.mn.gov) or by U.S. mail to YMC Ditch Office, PO Box 675, Clarkfield MN 56223.
Lyon/Yellow Medicine Judicial Ditch 24 is a ditch and tile system. The flow is northerly, and its terminus is into the Yellow Medicine River in Section 26 of Normania Township.
The following properties are affected by the redetermination of benefits and damages for JD 24 LYM: Normania Township, T114N-R41W, Sections 26, 27, 34, 35; in Yellow Medicine County and Vallers Township T113N-R41W, Sections 2, 3; in Lyon County.
