Minneota 'Light to Remember' to be Nov. 24 in Veterans Park

For over 30 years, Prairie Home Hospice & Community Care has hosted their “A Light to Remember” event, which recognizes loved ones, both living and deceased, by holding a tree lighting ceremony in five (5) of the major communities in which we serve.
Holding true to tradition, this year’s event is again scheduled for the weekend before Thanksgiving.

• Cottonwood: Friday, Nov. 22, 4:30 p.m., Fieldcrest Assisted Living
• Marshall: Friday, Nov. 22. 6 p.m., Memorial Park
• Balaton: Saturday, Nov. 23, 4:30 p.m., Legion Lion Park
• Tracy: Saturday, Nov. 23, 6 p.m., Veterans Memorial Park
• Minneota: Sunday, Nov. 24, 4:30 p.m., Veterans Park

Each ceremony includes musical selections, a candlelight vigil with the reading of loved one’s names and a tree lighting ceremony which is followed by warm beverages and treats. For a suggested tax-deductible donation of $15 per name, this ceremony provides an opportunity to remember someone special during the holidays, and the donations given help ensure that we may continue our tradition of providing quality hospice care to all in need.
“The ‘A Light to Remember’ event allows us to take a quiet moment and pause right before the hectic holiday season starts. It is a great way to clear one’s head and remember a loved one – either living or deceased. It’s a beautiful blessing and a great way to recognize someone near and dear to us.” - Lynn Cormier, CEO
