Dear Editor;
As we approach the State Championship Football game on Saturday, we wanted to take some time to thank some very important people in the community that have support Minneota Football earlier this year with the expansion Press Box Crows Nest at K.P. Kompelien Field.
For many years, the coaching staff have had thoughts and plans to extended or create a new Press Box at K.P. Kompelien Field.
The success, the program has had, has created some issues in regards to not having enough room to accommodate coaches, radio stations, our announcers and with the addition of streaming our football games over the internet another camera.
The issue was that there was not enough room in the Press Box for all of this. Then the issue became a financial one and the football program did not want to burden the school with the cost.
The solution was found relatively quick within our community. Laleman Construction (Bruce Laleman), Frank’s Electric (Jeff Sussner) and Brad’s Market (Brad Minnehan) decided that they were going to help solve the problem.
Bruce and his crew quickly stepped up and built the addition to the existing Press Box, Jeff and his team jumped in and wired the new addition and made some upgrades to what was already there.
Brad help by facilitating a great salt fundraiser that helped raise the additional money needed to cover extra expenses.
It should also be noted that Kevin Minnehan has continued to donate his time for the past few years during the salt fundraiser as well. He has been instrumental with his assistance loading and unloading the pallets of salt.
Kevin Jerzak at Minneota Building Materials was instrumental helping supply the lumber and materials needed to complete this project as well.
A great thanks goes out to Laleman Construction, Frank's Electric, Brad's Market and Minneota Building Materials for all of their support getting the addition putting on the existing Crows Nest at K.P. Kompelien Field.
