In the past year, we’ve tried to bring you the news, sports and weather as it happens in Minneota. And we’ve enjoyed every minute of it. The Minneota Mascot exists for your enjoyment, pleasure and needs.

This has been a year when the extinction of newspapers has been threatened more and more by the Big Bad Wolf called, “Social Media.” Despite the fact that Social Media is a wonderful outlet for gossip, and it has created in people more of a need for this gossip than actual journalism ... the newspaper in this community continues to operate.

We know fewer and fewer young people are turning to their community newspaper. But we also know how many people still rely on this valuable product. To you who love their newspaper ... we say, Thank You.

While you become more rare every year, our commitment to publish the paper every week remains a constant.
