ELLEN DIFFERDING

Ellen Colleen (Larson) Differding, 78, of Chanhassen, MN, passed away on Feb. 19, 2026, at Summerwood of Chanhassen.
Ellen was born on Dec. 28, 1947, in Marshall, MN, to Clair and Eleanor Larson. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1965 and went on to work in healthcare administration. Ellen enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and spending time at the lake. She also enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.
Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Paul Differding; her daughters, Sara (Troy) Winkler and Kari (Tom) Roepke; her grandchildren, Amy (Corey), Miranda (Jacob), Kaleigh, Mackenzie, and Carson; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Craig (Debbie) Larson, Brian (Rita) Larson, and Julie (Todd) Stafne, as well as her close friend Kelly and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A special thank you to the staff at The Arbor at Summerwood of Chanhassen for their care and support of Ellen.
A private family memorial will be held, with a burial at Fort Snelling to take place at a later date. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life from 1-4 p.m. on Feb. 28, 2026 at the Chanhassen Legion Post 580 (290 Lake Dr E, Chanhassen, MN 55317) to share memories and honor Ellen’s life.
