In the end, Minneota went all year as No. 1

Minneota Coach Chad Johnston referred to the back-to-back volleyball and basketball championships.

"I am extremely proud of all the girls I work with. They were ranked No. 1 all year and they handled it. They had high expectations and so did I."

Earlier, in the post-game press conference Johnston talked about what his team accomplished. "Defensively, the girls just played smart defense. The girls did a nice job of playing solid defense."

"Defense is something you can control. We wanted to be a team that went for the loose balls," said senior post player Lydia Sussner.

"We just wanted to stay focused, every day. We worked hard," said sophomore Abby Hennen.
