Just a freshman, Blake Stoks of the Canby-Minneota cross country team made steady improvement all year.
On Thursday, he finished in 29th place in 17:53 and was the second Canby-Minneota runner to cross the finish line.
"Many of our boys took time off their runs this year," said Coach Allyson Pesek. Stoks was one of them.
His 20th place was in a field of 146 runners.
